Michael Lee Yarber, 70 of Indianapolis, passed away on July 26th, 2017.
Michael was born on April 29, 1947 in Indianapolis to the late Paul Yarber Sr. and Olean Pryor. He graduated from Emanuel High School and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division for two tours. Following his service, he worked for 48 years for the US Postal service.
He loved racing and was a huge fan of Jeff Gordon, he enjoyed watching college football and sports, he liked to go camping and fishing, but above all he loved spending time with his family, grandkids and fur babies.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years, Dorothy Lee Yarber; children, Doug Walker, Angie Yarber, Shelly Lanum (Butch); grandchildren, Titus, Paige, Shelbey, Richie, Caitlin, Brittney, Baylee; 3 great-grand fur babies; and his brothers, Phil Pryor and Jeff Pryor. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Mel Yarber and Paul Yarber Jr.
A funeral service will take place at 4:00pm on Sunday, July 30th, with visitation from 1:00-4:00pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East
Memorial contributions in Michael’s honor may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or the American Heart Association.
