Michael Evans Gibbs

Michael Evans Gibbs, 67, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023.

He was born on March 29, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Foy Randall Gibbs and Alene (Landrum) Gibbs, both of Holland, Kentucky.

Mike was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed attending drag racing and working in his auto trim shop before retiring. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church and attended Morris Street Free Methodist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 64 where he enjoyed spending time with friends.

He is survived by his mother, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers in law, Marilyn (Gibbs) and Ronnie Holland and Pamela (Gibbs) and Tom Krier; 2 nephews, Jason Holland and Lucas Krier; 3 nieces, Robyn Gibbs, Alyson Brislain, and Stephanie Coppadge; and 5 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Ronald Gibbs.

Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 North Holt Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46222, with burial to follow in Floral Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service.
