Michael Eugene "Mike" Stone

Michael Eugene Stone (Mike) of Indianapolis, Indiana born on April 21st, 1959, passed away on November 21st, 2022. He was the owner of Mike’s Southport Lakes. Mike was known for his hard-working attitude, humor, and generosity. Countless lives have been impacted by his kindness. Mike retired from Citizens Energy Group after 43 years of employment. Mike loved to camp, fish, boat, and scuba dive. Mike loved his pets, which included dogs, cows, and Wally his alligator. Mike was preceded in death by his father Maydell Stone, his mother Joan Stone, his siblings Allen Stone, Bob Stone, and Donna Rash. Mike is survived by his wife of 42 years Rhonda (Reffett) Stone, his siblings Sandra Bartel (Mike Bartel), Mary Smith (Daniel Smith), David Stone (Brenda Stone), Jeff Stone (Belinda Stone), Donnie Stone, Ronnie Stone (Kim Stone), and a host of nieces and nephews which they loved as their own. Visitation for Michael will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, 5:00-8:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with the funeral service being held there on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Indiana following the service.
