Michael C. DeVliegher

70, of Indianapolis, passed away December 31, 2019. He was born on October 15, 1949 in Mishawaka, Indiana as the son of Alois and Vivian DeVliegher.

Michael married Pat DeVliegher(Roney) and the two brought three children into the family. He enjoyed bowling and golfing. Michael was a handyman around the house and enjoyed wood working. He was an avid Colts fan. Michael also volunteered for many years at Hindel Bowl, working with the children’s league. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pat DeVliegher; children: Michelle Smith, Christine Cook, Bryan DeVliegher; grandchildren: Austin Smith, Lexi Smith, Logan Cook, Gavin Cook, Parker Cook; great-grandchildren: Lydia Smith, Jasper Smith; sisters: Pat (Tom) Hurley, Mary (Gary) McGowan; brothers: David (Fran) DeVliegher and Steve DeVliegher.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020, from 2-3pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park. There will be a service following at 3pm, also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Today’s Champions – helping families with autism. Donations can be made at todayschampions.org
