Michael Allen Chew

Michael Allen Chew, 58, was called home Monday, April 24th to be with his Lord. Michael, a Christian, was born in Lafayette, Indiana and grew up in the small town of Sheridan. He graduated in 1984 from Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis’ northeast side.

Michael worked at his family’s grocery stores in Sheridan and Noblesville. After graduation he went to work for Marsh Supermarkets in Zionsville. He also worked at Eagle-Trident Security for several years. Michael began a career with the Indiana State Police in their communications department, retiring several years ago.

Michael’s loves were his family, working on his cars, and trying new restaurants.

Michael is survived by his mother Barbara Chew, siblings Julie Millikan (Kenny), Karen Strong (Randy), Doug Chew, Kristin McBride (David). Nieces and Nephews Andrew Strong (Cassie), Taylor McBride, Matt Millikan, David Chew, Ashley Robbins (Andy).

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles M Chew, his twin brother Mark Chew and infant brother, John Chew.

Friends and family may gather on Friday, May 12th from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2:30 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. In keeping with Michael’s casual nature, those attending his service may dress in comfortable attire.
