Michael A. Keifer, 71, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on November 1, 2021. He was born to the late John “Jack” and Mary “Eddie” Keifer on January 10, 1950 in Miamisburg, Ohio.
Mike retired from his father’s company, Indiana Metal Treating. Mike was an avid bowler and was in a league for several years. In his free time, Mike loved to read fiction and western books, and enjoyed all types of music. He was also a wonderful woodworker, having built a sofa table, an end table, and other home improvements. Mike enjoyed camping with close friends for over 30 years. Mike loved taking walks in the woods when he could. When he couldn’t walk for a length of time, you could find him reading or playing Words With Friends on his iPad and iPhone. Mike will be remembered for his great smile, his quick wit, and his willingness to always be there and help his friends and family.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Kaden Smith and Davin Whitlow; siblings, Sharon White and Cathy Swift; and many nieces and nephews. Michael is preceded in passing by his daughter, Holly, and brother, Sam.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 13, from 2 pm until 5 pm, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
