Mendy L. Williams, age 51, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024. She was born on May 17, 1973, to Robert S. Llewellyn and Lillian J. (Kerr) Llewellyn. Mendy married Thomas L. Williams on July 4, 1998.
Mendy is survived by her devoted husband Thomas L. Williams; her children Tabitha (Llewellyn) Pope and Joshua Llewellyn; and her beloved grandchildren Aaliyha Lee, Alexis Lee, Justice Cox, and Justin Pope, Jr. She is also survived by her mother Lillian Llewellyn; her sister Melissa Llewellyn; and her sisterly cousin LaDonna Llewellyn. Additionally, she leaves behind her nephew Sebastian Llewellyn, and her niece Shealynn Llewellyn. Mendy is also survived by an extended family, including her sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Mendy was preceded in death by her father Robert Llewellyn, and her favorite uncle George Llewellyn, along with many beloved aunts and uncles.
She had a deep love for music. From classic rock to the latest pop hits, she found joy in every genre and was always eager to share her favorite tunes with others. Music was an integral part of her life, whether she was enjoying a quiet moment or celebrating with friends and family.
Mendy's love for adventure was evident in her cherished vacations, especially to Disney and Universal. These trips were more than just getaways – they were magical experiences filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories. Mendy was always eager to share her adventures on Facebook, allowing everyone to feel the excitement and joy she experienced on her travels.
Mendy also had a gift for capturing life’s moments through photography. Never without her phone, she was always ready to snap a picture of anything or anyone that caught her attention, from candid family gatherings to stunning vacation memories. Her photos will live on as lasting tributes to the joy she brought to those around her.
While Mendy may no longer be with us, her legacy of love, laughter, and living life to the fullest will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her passion for family, music, photography, and adventure will remain in the hearts of her loved ones forever. Mendy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
