Melinda E. "Mindie" Brubeck

Melinda E. “Mindie” Brubeck, 62 of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022. Mindie was born October 29, 1959 in Columbus, IN to Robert and Maryellen Wendling. She was a graduate of Columbus East High School, where she was a member of the track team and later graduated from Indiana University, receiving a degree in early child education. Mindie was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.

Mindie worked for EF Hutton, then Connecticut Mutual and Merchants Banks before joining Northminster Presbyterian Church where she taught preschool. After an early career in finance and education, Mindie was most passionate about being a homemaker and mother.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, January 27 at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Good Shepherd Chapel, where family and friends are invited to gather from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.

Mindie is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Edwin; children, Roxanne (husband, Jeff) McDaniel and Dietrich Brubeck; grandchildren, Tanner and Levi McDaniel and Melody Brubeck; mother, Maryellen Nichols; sister, Vickie (husband, Jeff) Reed. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wendling.
