Melinda Diane (Bell) Davis

Melinda Diane (Bell) Davis, 64, of Indianapolis passed on March 7, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 12, 1958, to her parents, James Bell Sr. and Ethel Mae (Maynard) Bell. Melinda worked for 20+ years as an assembler for Von Duprin. In recent years, she developed a love for her tv shows—especially the Hallmark Channel. Melinda was an avid Neil McCoy Fan—she was even apart of his fan club! Most of all, Melinda enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved the Christmas Season and getting together with family amongst various occasions. Melinda took pride in being a mother, steering her children right, and providing them tough love. Her love for her kids and family was undeniable, but the love she had for her grandbabies was unmatched. Melinda was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed terribly by all the lives she has touched.

Melinda is preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. and Ethel Bell; her best friend and companion of 25 years, Larry A. Davis; and her son, Donnie Davis.

Melinda is survived by her children, Larry D. Davis and Katie Davis; siblings, Cindy Rogers, Doug Bell (Georgia), James Bell Jr., and Brian Bell (Cathy); 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 11-1PM at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46229 with the funeral starting at 1PM. Melinda will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
