Megan Elizabeth March, 33, of Indianapolis passed away on January 2, 2019 after her two year battle of Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Megan’s two passions in life were soccer and teaching. She began coaching soccer at the age of 12 and later received a scholarship to play at Marian College. She obtained her Elementary Education degree from Marian College, and quickly began teaching upon graduation. In most recent years, she taught at College Park Elementary in Pike Township. She took in her students and loved them like they were her own. Megan exuded an amazing amount of positivity in her everyday life, even until the very end of her battle. She could best be remembered by her selflessness, her radiant smile, and her ability to make people feel special just by simply talking to them. Megan will be missed by her students, her community, her friends, but most importantly her loving family.
Megan is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Byron Lee Blose and her maternal grandfather, Erwin John Baumgartner.
Left behind to cherish Megan’s memory are her parents, Mitch and Ruth Blose; her loving husband, Drew March; her children, Wyatt and Lilith March; her siblings, Natalie Blose, Clinton Blose, and Collin Blose; her paternal grandmother, Betty Blose; and her maternal grandma, Edith Baumgartner, and many extended family members.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 1PM at Messiah Lutheran Church, 801 S Green St. Brownsburg, IN 46112. Friends and family may gather from 11AM up until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Megan, please make a monetary donation to College Park Elementary or bring new school supplies with you to the service.
