May Bell Wise-Harley

May Bell Wise-Harley daughter of Levi Wise and Alice Johnson was born March 24, 1943 in Slaughter, Mississippi, she was the youngest of seven children, her family soon moved to Itta Bena, Mississippi where she received her education. May Bell gave her life to Christ at an early age and she was baptized at Jones Chapel Baptist Church. She later became a member of Sacred Ground Worship Center.

May Bell moved to Indianapolis in 1973 where she worked as a housekeeper for more than 40 years. She met and married Tyrone Harley, they were joined together for more than ten years.

May Bell loved listening to gospel music, watching Western movies, working puzzles, but her favorite thing to do was reading.

May Bell departed this life on Sunday November 24th, 2019 at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four older brothers and her sister.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her oldest brother James Lee Wise (Delilah) her youngest brother John Beasley (Helen) her four children, Lue Doris Wise, Sheila Wise-Coleman, Cynthia Gwen Wise, Anthony L. Wise (Gayla) her nine grandchildren, Lisa Wise, Dwight Wise, (Lannie) Starlet Person Oliver (Aaron) Demarcus Scorza (Nicole), Sacagawea Huerta (Peter), Lexa Oaldon (Tywone) Anthony L. Wise II (KeShawna), Timothy J. Wise (Alexandra), Michael E. Wise Nineteen great grandchildren, Four great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and a host of family and friends.
