Maxine Tarrant Bingham

Maxine Tarrant Bingham of Indianapolis, IN passed away on April 26th, 2018 at the age of 97. She was born November 24, 1920 in Lamar, MO.  In high school she was voted “Little Miss Egypt” and rode on the princess slipper float.  Style, grace, hospitality and laughter were her signatures in life.  After high school graduation she went on to business school and became a legal secretary and courtroom stenographer. However, her favorite career was being mother to her three children, grandmother, great grandmother and loyal friend.For her entire family she was our beautiful leading lady.  For her grandchildren and great grandchildren she was lovingly known as “Dammie”.  She filled all our lives with love and joy.  Joy that we all crave to experience ourselves.  She had a rare gift of really listening and connecting with everyone she met.  Because of her desire to connect we have all been blessed with great memories and a strong family bond.  There will always be a Dammie story and that fills us all with peace and joy.  
There is a great celebration in Heaven for those that preceded her in death: her loving husband, Robert Wray Bingham, her daughter Susan Ann Rushing Smith, her siblings Richard Tarrant, John Tarrant, Ramona Tarrant Bryant, and her parents Iona Cliff Tarrant, John McConnell Tarrant.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Robert Mark Rushing, her daughter Lisa Marie Rushing Vandenheuvel, her step-daughter Judy Bingham Nelson, her grandchildren (Stacey, Brian, Eric, Kelly, Kiley,Tracy, Chad, Micah, Matthew, Andy, and Amanda) and her great grandchildren (Austin, Andrew, Olivia, Abby, Lauren, Emma, Harrison, Jake, Luke, Sarah, Anna, Logan, Nate, Eli, Will, Jackson, Isabel, Lana, Luke, Willow, and Aspen ).
Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, May 1st, 2:00 at Westminster Village North, 11050 Presbyterian Dr, Indianapolis, IN, Sycamore Dining Room.
