Maxine L. Harmon, 89, Lebanon, passed away November 28, 2016 at her home. She was born October 3, 1927 in Indianapolis. Maxine was a homemaker, and enjoyed playing bingo, cards, crafting, and crocheting. She also served as the treasurer of Boone County Senior Services, Inc. Maxine had been a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of the Zionsville American Legion Post 79 Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Harmon, her daughters, Millie Rose Philips, Sherry Lu Hofer-Clark, and her step-daughter, Janie Harmon. Maxine is survived by her children, Terry S. Klepfer (Mike), Jerry L. Hofer (Sue), Harold E. Hofer II (Dawn), Jean E. Stump (Marc), Harry J. Hofer, and Lori A. Robinson; her step-children, Ron Harmon (Janet), Donna Thomas, and Harold Harmon; 28 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and her son-in-law, Norm Philips. Services will be on Thursday, December 1 at 1 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Zionsville, 105 W. Pine Street, Zionsville. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 4-8 PM and also on Thursday from 11 AM until service time. Interment will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens.
