Maureen Stevenson

Maureen “Mo” Stevenson was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Joseph “Fred” and Violet Saales. She had 2 sisters, Mary Ann Underwood and Marilyn Chandler. She graduated Class of 1959 from Shortridge High School where she met her future husband of 61 years, Richard “Dick” C. Stevenson, Sr. They had a wonderful happy marriage with lots of love and adventures.

They have 3 sons, Rick (Karen), Rob (Lisa), and Joe Stevenson. She has one granddaughter Shelby (Daniel) Stevenson, and she is aunt to Bill, Ruth, and Keith Chandler.

Maureen was always the life of the party and up for any adventure and usually the pot-stirrer. She was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis and after her family, her passions included painting and doing ceramics. She retired from IU Medical Center after many years of service.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Riley Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
