Mattie Leath Grinley

80, of McCordsville, passed away February 21, 2020. She was born on February 7, 1940 in Dewitt, Kentucky as the daughter of McKinley and Linda Leath.

Mattie enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. She loved cooking and the holidays. To close friends and family, Thanksgiving was always known as her holiday. Her greatest love though was her family and taking care of anyone in need. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Mattie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Louis Grinley; children: John (Tina) Howard, Lisa (Rick) Hurst, Pam (Jamey Hurd) Grinley; grandchildren: Barry Howard, Cassie (Justin) Luellen, Paige (Ted) Geissendoerfer, Sarah (Patrick) Butler, Brandi Priest; great grandchildren: Liam, Ella, Paislee, Hudson, Mariah; and brother, Paul (Evelyn) Leath.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. There will be a funeral service on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 10 a.m. also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
