Matthew T. Mcguire

Matthew Timothy McGuire was born February 13, 1962, at Morgan County Hospital, Martinsville, Indiana 46151 to Timothy Cain and Elizabeth Ann.

He married his wife Pamela Sue on 11/21/1987 and with this marriage he became a father instantly to Dan’l Dean McAfee. They later added another son Brandon Paul McGuire to complete their family in November of 1990.

Matthew did many amazing things in his short life. Such as becoming a Private Pilot by the age of 18, raced go karts in his teens and continued this particular hobby throughout his life (racing the likes of Tony Stewart, and the Andretti’s in their amateur era) as well as Motocross racing with his sons and grandchildren over his later years of life. He had many other hobbies such as boating, jet-skis, playing drums, the guitar, piano, Nascar, and Indy Car Racing. He loved to sing Frank Sinatra and to that degree loved entertaining people, and bringing them the most joy possible. There truly weren’t many things Matt could not do well. He had a unique ability to be competitive, loving, and compassionate all at the same time.

In his early professional years he was a third-generation Owner/Operator of the McGuire family business Automotive Armature which was sold in the early 90’s under his direct management. Automotive Armature grew from a small shop in Indianapolis to a multi-million dollar operation employing over 400 people at its peak. It was one of the largest privately owned businesses of its industry at the time. Upon its purchase, he continued in the same industry until his passing working at MPA (Motorcar Parts of America Inc.) serving as the Vice President of Traditional Sales. To his own personal admission, he loved the atmosphere at MPA, the individuals he worked with, and the culture of the company. He spent 6 years of being a part of their professional family until his passing. Throughout his professional career, Matt cultivated wonderful relationships and opportunities to the many he touched. To his own admission, he attributes much of his success and knowledge initially to his Grandfather John W. McGuire, with his teachings and lessons taught to him in his professional early years, along with many others.

Matt leaves behind his Wife; Pamela, 2 Children; Dan’l, Brandon (Alyssa), 2 Grandchildren; Caid’n and Ellyana, with one due 2/11/22 Leonidas, and a Brother: Shawn McGuire. Additionally, many personal friends and colleagues throughout the Automotive and surrounding Industries.

Matthew is preceded in death by his parents Timothy McGuire and Elizabeth Chatten, grandparents John (Regene) McGuire, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

His service and burial will be private per his request.
