Matthew Stewart Hawkins

Matthew “Matt” Stewart Hawkins, age 47, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at his home.

He was born June 27, 1975 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Dale & Linda (Jerden) Hawkins.

Matt married Stephanie Sherrard in Indianapolis, IN on October 16, 2010.

He worked at Epson Digital Print Equipment.

Matt was a member of the National Guard for 10 years, serving 1993-2003. He achieved the rank of Private First Class E-3.

He was a graduate of Sparta Technical School in Oklahoma with a degree in Aeronautics.

Matt enjoyed fishing, boating, painting, ice skating and woodworking.

Matthew was a great brother, dad, son, and husband. He loved his family deeply and will be missed by many.

Surviving are his wife, Stephanie Sherrard of Indianapolis, IN; son, Cullen Paschal Hawkins (age 10); his parents, Dale & Linda Hawkins of Monmouth; and sister, Stacey Hawkins.

Matt is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. His cremated remains will be scattered along the Colorado River.
