Matthew A. Nicholas

Matthew Adam Nicholas, 43, of Indianapolis, left this world too soon on January 4, 2025. He was born in Indianapolis on December 29, 1981, to his loving parents, Dennis and Linda Nicholas.

Matthew is remembered for his love and the time he spent with family and friends. He enjoyed sports, especially lacrosse, and amassed quite a collection of board games to play with friends and family. Matthew found his passion for organizing and participating in group activities early in life, as he was the first to rally the neighborhood. This passion continued throughout his life as he created church groups and sports clubs. Matthew had a big heart and believed in the power of uniting people and sarcasm.

Left behind to cherish Matthew's memory are his parents, Dennis and Linda Nicholas; his siblings, David (Amanda) Nicholas, Paul (Kelly) Nicholas, Mark (Erika) Nicholas, Cindy (Zach) Tooley, and Roberta (Charles) Bogan; his nieces Hannah, Olivia, Lilly, Andrea, AdaLove Nicholas, Keira Jones, and Alice Tooley; and his nephews Declan and Layne Tooley, Nikola Nicholas, and Lucas Bogan.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold (Marie) Nicholas and Paul (Mary) Quandt, and uncle, Gary Nicholas.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 4-8PM at Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. A funeral service will be held the following day at 11AM. Matthew will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
