Matthew Hawkins Wilkinson

Matthew H. Wilkinson, 52, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away January 4, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born September 15, 1970, to his parents James Franklin and Barbara (Chalmers) Wilkinson.

He worked in security and as a corrections officer for most of his life. Matt loved to be outdoors, his passions were fishing and boating.  He was an avid sports fan and loved the Colts.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Barbara; brothers Mark (Susan) Wilkinson, and Michael Wilkinson; uncle John Wilkinson; along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street, on Friday January 13 from 5pm to 7pm. The service will begin at 7pm. He will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Catch-A-Dream Foundation.
