Marytha Dell Clear

Marytha Dell Phillippe Clear went to be her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 6, 2017. She was born August 28, 1928 to Alzena Clare and Daniel Maynard Phillippe in Mulberry, Indiana in a family of nine children.  Marytha married Calvin Robert Clear September 7, 1947 who preceded her in death. They enjoyed 65 years together and had three children, Daniel (Cindy), Helen Hodges (Charles), and Steven. Marytha had 8 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.

Marytha invested her life in raising her children, grandchildren and great children. Until her recent illness, she kept busy helping homeschool her great grandchildren. She enjoyed seeing many of her great grandchildren most every day.

Marytha was a faithful member of Messiah Lutheran Church at Eagle Creek. She served at the Sharing place, a church ministry that distributed food and clothing to needy people. She enjoyed being a part of a Care group at Messiah.

Funeral services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway, 2950 N. High School Road  Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, December 8, 2017. The funeral service will be held on Saturday with visitation from noon to 1pm and the service following.

Pastor Sam Leiter of Messiah Lutheran will officiate at the service.
