Mary Therese Piper was welcomed home on October 30, 2021. Born December 14, 1932. Married January 8,1955 to Francis Robert Piper, widowed, 2014. Survived by her 10 children, Gary (Laurie), Greg (Angeline), Jean Myers (Collin), Rob (Cathy), John (Anna), Anne Darden (Darryl), Tim (Melanie), Maureen Shellaby (Ken), Joe (Renee) & Patrick (Rene).  Grandmother of 30 & great grandmother of 17, and sisters, Sr. Dorothy De Maria & Bernadette Mckeon. As well as countless others that knew her as mom and nana.

A Charismatic warrior with an unbreakable love for God. Our mother made prayer the primary staple of our family tapestry. As a registered nurse, mom’s gifts for helping the wounded, both physically and spiritually, was her unwavering mission throughout life.

As a mother of 10, life was never boring. From morning till night, mom kept things moving, from kids sports, church charities, school activities and an abundance of community events.  Our mother had such a servant’s heart, even with her own children, our mother made room for foster children that needed a loving home and no one was ever turned away.

She will be truly missed by all.

Instead he is patient with you, so that not one may perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, East 46th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46226.  Viewing at 10a.m, followed by Mass of Christian Burial, at 12:00.  Interment @ Mt. Olivet, Kenmore NY.
