Mary Price was born on June 12, 1929, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was married to the love of her life Sylvester Price for 58 beautiful years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she served on the Mother Board for several years.
Mary not only made everyone feel at home once in her presence, but she created that space to allow everyone to feel what genuine love was like. She loved and welcomed everyone unconditionally and immediately made it her duty to make each person feel like family. Mary was a loving woman who enjoyed life, playing cards or bingo with her friends and family, dancing, watching game shows, listening to music, and going outside for fresh air. She also had a great love for cooking, and it brought her joy to share that hobby and meals with her loved ones.
Mary’s generous heart has been the greatest gift she has given to many. She would lend a hand however she could, no matter what. She loved people, especially children. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was elated to take care of them any moment she could. Mary was a precious gem to the world. A gift and a blessing to everyone who had the opportunity to meet her. She was so many things to many people but most of all she was a Child of God, Daughter, Wife, Mother, and Grandma (Grandolly).
She was preceded in death by her siblings, one brother and three sisters, who left Mary with many nieces and nephews.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Jarmilla Howard, Son-in-law Dar’Ron Howard, 10 grandchildren, Dar’Ron Howard II, Dar’Roneé Howard, Dallon Howard, Dreonna Howard, De’Layna Howard, Deja Howard, Deondra Howard, De’Jelle Howard, DeMeira Howard and Dairicka Howard, and 5 great-grandchildren, ReSheé Howard, Lahreé Howard, Jahneé Howard, Azaya Howard and Azari Howard.
The love you shared will always be remembered
Forever in our hearts you will hold a safe place
Remembering the good times and the treasured moments we shared
Mary, Mommy, Grandolly…enjoy the special place the Lord has prepared!
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
