Mary Cynthia Landeck

Mary Cynthia Landeck, age 82 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2024 surrounded by her husband and many loving family members.

Mary was born on July 20, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter and only child of Rosario and Lorene (Roudebush) Romano. She is preceded in death by her parents.

She married Kenneth Landeck on May 5, 1962 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on 10th Street in Indianapolis. They were married by Father William Munshower. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years: Kenneth Landeck of Indianapolis, Indiana.

She is also survived by her and Kenneth’s two children: Kristina (husband Jonathan McCormick) Landeck of Indianapolis and son: Michael Landeck of Indianapolis.

Three grandchildren: Dallas (wife Sierrra) DeJong, Josh DeJong, and Alexus (husband Devin) Milligan.

Six great grandchildren: Eyden, Emerson, Carter, Avery, Jordan, and Declan.

Mary grew up in Indianapolis on the East side. She attended Scecina Memorial Catholic High School, graduating in the class of 1960. She met her husband Kenneth Landeck while in high school. They shared 62 years of marriage together. Mary was a homemaker in early years while Kristina and Michael were growing up and then later worked as a bank teller.

Mary was Catholic in faith. She greatly enjoyed sewing, owls, dogs, birds and bears. Her favorite movie was Marley & Me. 

Mary was loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, located at 7243 East 10th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46219.

The funeral mass will begin at 12:00 Noon.  Father Michael O'Mara will officiate.

Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
