Mary Jo Grove, age 94 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on March 5, 2018. Mary Jo was born in Sullivan, County, IN on December 26, 1923 to her parents, Otis and Galena (Lloyd) Riggle. After graduating from high school, Mary Jo went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and worked as a Speech and Hearing Therapist with IPS for over 30 years. She was a longtime member of Castleton Church of Christ. She was also a member of Theta Alpha Phi Fraternity, the Indiana Teachers Association and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin Thadius “Thad” Grove; and sister, Nancy K. Riggle.
Calling will be held from 11am until 1pm on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan- Broad Ripple located at 1305 Broad Ripple Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Her funeral service will immediately follow the viewing. Burial will be private in Westlawn Cemetery, Farmersburg, IN. www.FlannerBuchanan.com
