Mary Jane Hicks

May 19, 1926 — November 1, 2017

Mary Jane Hicks, a life-long resident of Indianapolis, was born May 19, 1926 and died at Westside Garden Plaza on November 1, 2017, where she had lived for 12 years. She attended Broad Ripple High School, lived in Ravenswood for many years, and was a long time member of Glendale. Christian. Church, where she enjoyed sharing her beautiful soprano voice. She worked in the cafeterias of Washington Township schools, and then worked in sales at L.S. Ayres Glendale. She was very proud of going back to school after her children were grown and completed her LPN training.

She had four children, known as "the 4 D's.". David is a retired Radiology Administrator from Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Dan is a retired psychiatrist living in Washington, DC with his spouse John McCall. Debbie Eulin is a nurse here at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis. She has a grandson Koury Hicks who is an attorney in Cary, NC where he lives with his wife Meredith Stockman and his children Jameson and Ashley. She was preceded in death by her. Husband of 67 years, Bill, and her son Dennis. Her suffering has ended and she is now embraced in the loving arms of those who preceded her.

Visitation will take place on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 11am to 1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46228. Funeral Service will be held immediately following visitation at 1pm at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Glendale Christian Church at 1788 Haynes Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana, 46240. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be provided at the funeral home. Please share memories and condolences with the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com
