Mary Helen Bovenschen

Mary Helen (Samson) Bovenschen of North Vernon, formerly of Camby and Indianapolis took her final journey home peacefully in her sleep on February 18, 2018.

Mary was born on April 26, 1929 to Andrew and Martha Jane (Jennie) (Cox) Samson in Clinton, Indiana. Mary married the love of her life, Charles John Bovenschen on August 16, 1946 and they spent 60 wonderful years together before Charles’ passing in 2006.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Marti Bodenheimer and Sandi (Bob) Vasel; grandchildren – Debbie (Doug) Sisson, Katie Lawley, Charles (Mary) and Mike Anderson; great-grandchildren, Greg, Megan and Tyler Sisson, Jon (Zameyka) Belt, Gyles and Alexis Lawley, Kaila (Charles) Powell, Jordan, Lillian, Sam, William and Henry Anderson; great-great grandchildren, Charlie Powell and Charlotte Sisson (and a little boy on the way)and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brothers, Robert and Jack Samson and sisters Stella Louise Pritchett and Elsie Craig.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 12:30 pm with visitation from 10:30am until time of service at Flanner Buchanan- Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46229. Burial will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens, 6851 S. Indianapolis Rd, Whitestown, IN 46075. Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com
