Mary Hazel Baugh

Mary Hazel Baugh, 102, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on September 2, 2019. She was born November 21, 1916 to Ralph and Vera Davidson; she was the eldest of 7 children.

A lifetime Indiana resident, Hazel was truly a part of the “greatest generation”. She was a homemaker and stay at home mother until 1950 when she took a job with Bowes Sealfast. A career she took pride in for 30 years until her retirement. She married the love of her life, Ervin Baugh, in 1935 and spent 55 beautiful years together. They remained deeply in love at the time of Ervin’s passing in 1990. Hazel’s passing leaves an empty space in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to meet her; she was truly one of a kind.

Hazel is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin; children, Roxie, Michael, Ronald, and Dixie; siblings, Earl, Harold, Lloyd, Gene, Robert, and Margaret. She is survived by son, Jack (Gaynell); 6 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, September 6 from 10-11:15 AM at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Funeral services will take place at 11:15. Hazel will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery immediately following services.
