Mary Alice Hartmann, 91, Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord August 4, 2024. She was born to Walter and Helen (Corcoran) Whitmore on May 13, 1933.

She graduated from Saint Agnes Academy in 1951. She worked for the Indianapolis Life Insurance Company for several years. She and her husband, Fred, were married at Christ the King Catholic Church in 1957. Later she worked for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. She was a member of The Riviera Club. She appreciated her friends at the Fresh Market grocery store.

She is survived by her children, Suzette, Greg (Karim), Patrice (Steve Quinn), James (Liz), and Kevin (Samantha), grandchildren, Ashley, Jack, Anna, Rachel, and Julia Alice.

She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Helen Bowman, Margaret McManus, and Patricia Metzger, and brothers James Whitmore and Thomas Whitmore.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 13, at Flanner Buchanan – Broad Ripple from 4-6:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Christ the King Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 14, at 11am, with a visitation one hour prior.
