Mary H. Owen-Overmyer

Mary H. Owen-Overmyer, 92 of Carmel, passed away at her home Friday, April 15, 2022.  Mary was born June 13, 1929 in Ironton, MO to the late Jethro and Annie Lester.  She was a graduate of Drake University, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority.

Mary retired from St. Vincent where she worked in public relations for the Stress Center.  Prior, she worked in public relations for the PR Duke Company.

Mary was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.  She was an avid gardener.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Friday, April 22 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel, where a funeral will be held immediately following at 3:00 pm.

Mary was the widow of Robert Overmyer.  She is survived by her son, Gregory Owen.  Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Howard and Charles Lester.
