Mary Evelyn Strietelmeier

Mary Evelyn Strietelmeier, 77, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away on
January 1, 2023. She was born on August 23, 1945, in Kempton, Indiana, to
the late Ottie Pearl and Hubert Leslie Smith, Sr.
Throughout her life, Mary lived in North Salem, Indianapolis, Jamestown,
and Lebanon, Indiana. She graduated from North Salem High School and
was a mother and homemaker. Later, she worked for The Indianapolis Star
and Abilities Services, Inc.
Mary loved her family deeply and took great joy in their activities and
accomplishments. She enjoyed just sitting with people over a cup of coffee,
camping, and taking care of dogs and plants of all kinds. She was a fun-loving
and kind-hearted person who could only find positive words to say
about others. Most of all, she loved and trusted Jesus, walked by His
leading and was a faithful member of Covenant Grace Fellowship in North
Salem. Mary will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Mary is survived by her brother Hubert Smith, sisters-in-law Glenda Smith
and Sue Smith, her children: Jim (Debbie) Strietelmeier, Terri (Jim) Orner,
Tim (Rita) Strietelmeier, Jerri (Patrick) Concannon, Susan (Chris)
Brumfield, her grandchildren: Abigail Dinh, Elizabeth Parker, Moses
Strietelmeier, Joseph Strietelmeier, Michelle Strietelmeier, Jacob
Strietelmeier, Thomas Strietelmeier, Jose Strietelmeier, Tracey Orner,
James Orner, Sophia Orner, Megan Miller, Kristi Noll, Beka Williss,
Timothy Strietelmeier II, Isabella Concannon, Ava Concannon, Joshua
Brumfield, Jonathan Brumfield, Nicholas Brumfield, Daniel Brumfield,
nieces, nephews and many great- grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her loving, big brothers, Jessie (Janet) Smith and Leroy (Sue)
Smith.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, from 5 pm to 8 pm, and on
Tuesday, January 10, from 10 am to 11 am. Funeral Service will be on
Tuesday, January 10, at 11 am. These events will be held at Flanner
Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road,
Indianapolis.
