Mary Catherine "Cathy" Miller

Mary Catherine “Cathy” Miller, 78, Noblesville, went home to be with her Lord December 19, 2021. She was born in Indianapolis to William Howard and Florence Matilda (Koenig) Barrett.

Cathy worked as a secretary for many years. In June 11, 1977 she married the love of her life Ronald Miller, after which they moved to southern Indiana. It was there they built a log home from scratch complete with all the assorted farm animals that she cared for and watched over while her husband worked. Later on, they moved back to the Indianapolis area. There Cathy took art classes and then taught many others to paint landscapes for several years. She loved to interact with her students as she taught them. In 2017 her health started to decline after several serious operations.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and son, Scott Ocasio.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald J. Miller; daughter, Deborah Asen; step-daughter Michelle and step-son Jonathan; grandchildren Holly, Stephanie, Claire, Anthony, Hannah, Selah; and brothers Johnny and Kenny Barrett.

Visitation will be held Monday January 3^rd at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, from 11-1pm. Funeral services will begin there at 1pm.
