Mary "Carol" Mcvay

Mary “Carol” McVay, 73, passed away peacefully January 3rd. Carol was born in Waukegan, Illinois on December 3, 1946 to Robert Dale Jagger and Lois Jane (Potter) Jagger.

Carol attended Scecina Memorial High School and went on to graduate from House of James Beauty School in 1964. She was a self-employed beautician, working from the comfort of her own beauty shop.

Carol loved to stay busy. She and the love of her life, Larry, traveled often. She loved fishing, riding ATV’s, bird watching, and spending time in nature. Carol loved her flower garden and kept her house beautiful.

She is survived by her husband, Larry “Joe” McVay; two brothers, Robert and Ralph “Buddy”; many nieces and nephews, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Carol will be Friday, January 10th, from 1-3pm, with her funeral service to follow at 3pm at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East.
