Mary Margaret "Peggy" Burke

70 of Avon, Indiana, passed away on January 11, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. Mary was born on November 17, 1954, in Batesville, Indiana to the late James and Jane Brady. She was a retired Administrative Assistant, spending her early years at RCA, and ending her career in public education. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and an active participant in the Awana Program. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Burke, grandchildren Matthew Marshall and Isabelle Demaree, siblings Sarah Cannon, Joseph Brady and Cathy Gavette and her parents. She is survived by her daughters Deborah Harmon and Jane (Ryan) McFarland, stepsons Eric Burke and Alan (Tracy) Burke, grandchildren Zachary, Alyssa and Tyler Burke, Joshua and Cassie Burke, Brittany Marshall, Aaron Demaree and Jacob, Allison, and Lucas McFarland, five great grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 18 at Noon with visitation one hour prior at Faith Baptist Church, 3860 E. Main Street, Danville, IN 46122. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Church Awana Program or the American Cancer Society.
