Mary Anne Matschullat, 72, of Carmel, passed away on May 3, 2021. She was born to Michael Joseph and Susan Bell Kennedy on August 11, 1948 in Denver, Colorado, but grew up primarily in Evanston, Illinois.
Mary Anne graduated high school in 1966 from Regina Dominican in Wilmette, Illinois. She then attended college in Iowa for two years before returning to Chicago to pursue a career in Business Administration.
Mary Anne was an avid soccer fan and spent time volunteering for Meals on Wheels. She was also a lover of animals and a strong supporter of the Hamilton County Humane Society. Mary Anne most importantly loved spending time with her family, particularly following the soccer pursuits of her two children.
Mary Anne was also an accomplished cook, having taken many courses, including a week at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, California.
Mary Anne is survived by her loving husband, Duane; daughter, Beth (Eric) Rosenbaum; son, Adam Matschullat; brother, Brian Kennedy; and grandchildren, Adam Matschullat, Carter Rosenbaum, Celia Rosenbaum, and Lydia Rosenbaum.
