Mary Ann Ray

Mary Ann Ray, 75 of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, November 14th, 2018. She was born February 23rd, 1943 in Indianapolis to the late Raymond and Claribel Ratterman Katzenberger. She was a 1957 graduate of St. Joan of Arc. She was a 1961 graduate of Ladywood School.

During her childhood Mary enjoyed spending time with her family in Saugatuck, Michigan. She was an avid swimmer at the Athletic Club and Riviera Club in Indianapolis.

The Donut Shop was an almost daily stop for Mary and her loving husband Lee. Mary was happy playing cards and games with family or friends. Being a devout Christian, she cherished her prayer groups from Christ the King Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Ivan Lee Ray, her parents and her brother Ray Lee Katzenberger. Mary is survived by her sister M. Sue Dawson, her nieces Kim Davis and Meg Dawson, her nephews Marty and Ray Jackson and many grand nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephew.

Mary will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful lady who wished happiness for all in this life and forever more. Her favorite phrase was “Love one another.”
