Mary Alice Cooper

Mrs. Mary Alice Cooper was born October 18, 1938 in Childersburg, Alabama.  She departed this life on Wednesday December 15, 2021.

She was united in marriage to Nathan Cooper on September 6, 1959.  Nathan preceded her in death in 2006.

Mary was employed in housekeeping at Community East Hospital for 35 years.  She was added to St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church in 1958.  Mary was a member of the St. John’s Health Care Ministry and a Greeter on Sunday mornings.  She always greeted her fellow church members with a gentle hello and a smile.  She volunteered her time at the St. John’s Love Center Food Pantry helping to feed others in the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, siblings Wilbert Roberson,Sr., Annie Mae Passmore, Shedrick Roberson, Elizabeth Foster, Willie Mae Wright, and Mattie Chaney Burton.

She leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews other family and friends.
