Mary Alice Cartwright

Mary Alice Cartwright, 90, of New Palestine, IN passed away June 26, 2019. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 8, 1928 to the late Merle Horton Sr. and Mervin Pearl (Britt) Horton.

Mary attended Arsenal Tech High School and went on to work as a sales manager in retail. She also was a proud member of the Tri Chi Sorority – Delta Chapter in Indianapolis.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband, R. Stanley Cartwright; 4 adoring children, Tom Cartwright, Steve Cartwright, Teri (Steve) Donahue, and Tamara (David) Kremer; siblings, Merle Jr. (Irene) Horton, Barbara Lowe, Carole Windhorst, Jerry (Shirley) Horton, David (Diane) Horton, and Donn Horton.

Mary is preceded in death by granddaughter, Erin Donahue; sister, Dorothy Mangus; daughter-in-law, Linda Cartwright.

Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, 46229 on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 4-8PM. Visitation will continue the following day, Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church – 8540 E. 16th St., Indianapolis, IN 46219 from 10-11AM with a funeral service beginning at 11AM. Burial to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
