Mary Agnes (Moore) Sigler, 88, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was born in Tilden, Kentucky on August 17, 1928 to the late Jesse and Vera (Cavanaugh) Moore. She met her husband, A.O. Sigler and they married on September 17, 1946.
Following the birth of her two sons, she and Albert found work in Indianapolis, raised their children and planted their roots here. Mary worked many years as the medical records librarian for Indiana Central State Hospital before retiring in 1993. Mary enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her faith was of utmost importance and she instilled this quality unto her children and was very proud that her son Gerald served as a missionary for Saipan Community Church. She was an active member of First General Baptist Church.
Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, A. O. (Albert Otis) Sigler and their son, Gerald Sigler; siblings, Virginia Moore Lambert, Jesse Mae Moore Duncan, and Aubry Moore; and daughter-in-law, Charlotte Sigler. She is survived by her son, Thomas (Joy) Sigler; daughter-in-law, Brenda Sigler; five grandchildren, Michelle Routh, Todd Sigler, Stacy Baker, Clint Sigler and Miala (Brian) Oliger; nine great-grandchildren, Haley, Mason, Noah, Abby, Luke, Zach, Mikayla, Gabriel and Hannah; and sister, Joyce Duncan (the late Kenneth).
Visitation will be held Friday, July 7, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan –Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd, Indianapolis, IN, 46222. Online condolences may be made to www.flannerbuchanan.com.
