Marvin Samples, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away November 11th, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis, November 9th, 1958 to parents Pearl and Mary (Patrick) Samples.
He worked for many years at Pac West Distributors before retiring in 2010.
Marvin was a strong, loving man, who served as a patriarch for his family. He was loved by many. His brother Gillace and his friend Rory would come almost everyday and spend time with Marvin and I and talk about everything. They had a bond no-one could break. He truly loves both of his brothers and He showed it everyday. He adored his children and grandchildren. If anyone knew him they knew his grandchildren were his world. He loved them with every inch of him. He lived just to see the joy on their face when he came around them. He had a special bond with his grandson Jeremiah like no other, two peas in a pod. He loved his granddaughter Shaniya like no other either. She is his first born grandchild. His love for her covered all of the depths of the sea. Marvin loved to listen to rock and roll and classical music. His favorite TV show was The Walking Dead. He could watch that all day. Before Marvin passed away, he got a chance to give his life to Jesus Christ and accepted the Holy Spirit.
Marvin is survived by his children Keyfer Samples(Makayla), Skyler Samples(Chinea), and Andrew Bowling. Grandchildren Jeremiah, Shaniya, Ruari, Conner, Skyler Jr., and Kaylee; and siblings Gillace Samples, Bobby Joe Samples, and Wanda Seacrest, a host of nieces and nephews and friends all over Indiana and his dear special friend, Ruth Duffer.
Besides his parents, Marvin is preceded in death by his brothers John Samples and Jimmy Samples and special friend Margie West.
Marvin’s memorial service will be Thursday, November 19th, at 2pm, at Flanner Buchanan Memorial Park (9350 Washington St, Indianapolis, IN).
