Martin K. Fall

Martin K. Fall, passed away on Christmas morning, December 25, 2022, at the age of 77.  Martin was born in Jamestown, VA on March 1, 1945, to parents, Herb and Gladys (Knollman) Fall.  He graduated from Warren Central High School, class of 1963.  He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Purdue University, graduating in 1969.  Martin worked as a mechanical engineer during his career and along with his brother, co-owned General Devices, a company founded by his parents.

Martin had many loves.  He enjoyed all things outdoors especially flying, hunting, fishing, ATV riding, motorcycle racing, and snow skiing.  He also had a passion for building and restoring airplanes, military jeeps, antique cars, motorcycles, and boats.

Martin was a member of EAA 900, Warbird SQ3, Quiet Birdman (QB’s), Varmints Men’s Group; ROMEO “Real Old Men Eating Out” and the New Palestine Masonic Lodge #404.  He was an accomplished pilot and participated in many airshows.  He was an ambassador for General Aviation and generously gave of his time and talents in encouraging and mentoring youth to pursue their dreams in aviation and through the EAA Young Eagles Program.

Martin went by many names: “Sideways”, “2 Dogs”, “Too Tall Fall” and “Daddy-O” to name a few. Regardless of the name you knew him by, his love and infectious spirit will be missed by all.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Gladys; his first wife, Mary M. (Mull) Fall; and his daughter, Lisa M. Fall.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Michelle (Fones) Fall; his daughter, Erika Fall (Juan Ruiz); his stepchildren: Corinne Mills (Kody Kant) and Catrina Pray (Nolan); five grandchildren; his siblings: Max Fall (Lynn) and Susan Kessler (Peter); and many other loving extended family members and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held from 10am until 1pm on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Post Air Airport & Military Heritage Museum located at 1215 S. Franklin Road, Indianapolis, IN 46239, where funeral and masonic services will immediately follow, beginning at 1pm.

Donations, in memory of Martin, can be made to the Young Eagles Program directly to EAA, EAA Chapter 900 or at the memorial service.  If preferred, donations can also be made via the EAA website (www.eaa.org/support), by selecting the “Give” button and making a contribution in memory of Martin Fall to the Young Eagles, or by mail to EAA Chapter 900, 1215 S Franklin Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46239 (payable to EAA-Young Eagles Program).

Donations can also be made to the New Palestine Masonic Lodge #404, Attention Secretary, 655 Crossfield Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46239.
