Martha L. Hunter

Martha Lou (Nuzum) Hunter 95 of Speedway, IN passed away February 28, 2017. Martha was born in Muncie, IN on December 06, 1921 to Thornton and Reba (Hite) Nuzum. Martha was a member of the Speedway Christian Church and Order of the Eastern Star Corinthian Chapter #456 and the Eagle Creek Chapter of the DAR. Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward G Hunter and a daughter Susan Spivey-Turner and her parents and a brother and sister. Calling will be held on Friday March 03, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway from 5 to 7 pm with an O.E.S. Service at 7 pm. Additional calling will be held on Saturday at the funeral center from 11 am to 1 pm followed by the funeral service at 1 pm. Martha is survived by her children Rebecca “Becky” L. (George) Morris and Jeff S. (Carol) Hunter, grandchildren; J. Eric (Krista) Spivey, Brett S. Morris, Chad B. (Amy) Hunter and Jodi S. (Nate) Courtney, great- grandchildren; Lauren and Carter Spivey, Ben and Max Hunter and Aiden and Anya Courtney. Memorial contributions may be given to either the Wounded Warrior Project, Speedway Public Library, Speedway Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
