Martha Jean Urban

Martha Jean Urban, 92, of Fishers, gained her wings on March 22^nd, 2023. She was born in Anderson, Indiana on April 19^th, 1930, to Henry and Mary Francis (Emmel) Faulkner.

On September 29^th, 1951, she married the love of her life, Stanley Urban Sr. They shared 21 wonderful years together. Stanley passed away in June 1972.

Martha was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She always made sure to call or text on a birthday to sing and celebrate.  Her voice was full of good spirits and happiness while talking.  She was our forever cheerleader and was just happy to receive a call or visit. Maybe one of the most ruthless euchre partners to play the game, and you better believe she knew the rules because if you didn’t, she would let you know! While she and Stanley were married, they liked to travel and enjoyed many wonderful trips. Martha’s favorite place was Las Vegas. She loved to gamble, and even in her final years, continued gambling and playing games on her phone. She is finally at peace and most importantly reunited with her parents, sons Dana and Monte, her husband Stanley, and her sister Mary Wools. The world got a lot less interesting Wednesday night, and we will miss her greatly. Cheers to nearly 93 years of life.

She is survived by her stepsons David Urban and Stanley Urban Jr; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Martha will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
