Martha Jane (Shearer) Love

Martha Jane (Shearer) Love, 95, of Speedway, IN went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2018. Martha was born in Russell County, KY on January 28, 1923 to Robert and Flora (Lawless) Shearer.  Martha and her husband Homer built and resided as their same residence in Speedway, IN since 1952 to present day. True Speedway residents.  Martha was a member of Speedway Christian Church for 60+ years.  She was also a former member of the Indianapolis Chapter Order of Eastern Star #393 which has now merged with Oakland Chapter Order of Eastern Star #159.  She was also a member of I.O.O.F. and Past Noble Grand of the St Anastasia Rebekah Lodge #197.  Martha worked as a clerk for Kroger’s for 10 years in Speedway retiring 30 years ago at the age of 65.  Martha is preceded in death by her husband Homer Lewis Love.  Funeral services will be held on Friday August 03, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway at 1 pm with calling one hour prior to the service.  Martha is survived by her children; Barbara Stevens, Ted (Jill) Love, Bob (Cindy) Love and Terry (Teresa) Love, 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and her sister; Edna Dawson.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Oakland Order of Eastern Star #159 in memory of Martha, C/O Secretary 8027 North Richardt Indianapolis, IN 46256.  Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN.  Online condolences and video tribute may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com
