Marletta Sue Barrick

On Saturday, March 30, 2019, Marletta Sue Barrick passed away at the age of 71 years. Marletta will be sadly missed by her brother Steve (Kathy) Cox, and sister Carla Compton. Marletta is also survived by the following brothers and sisters, Debra Kaden, Marla (Terry) Morris, Michael (Ginny) Cox, Janet (Jessie) Huffman, Sylvia (Tony) Taylor, John (Porcia) Cox, step-sisters Joyce (Danny) Ragle, Joy (Jerry) Gable, and her father’s wife, Bonnie Cox. Marletta will also be forever remembered by her grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and dear friends. Marletta was preceded in death by her mother Doris R. Adams of Indianapolis, Indiana, her father Martin E. Cox of Pesotum, Illinois, and her son David K. Barrick. Marletta had a great love of animals and could always be found caring for a stray cat or dog, inviting them into her home, or adopting a pet in need. She will be fondly remembered for her light-hearted personality that brought laughter to so many. Cremation has taken place and Marletta was laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery on Tuesday, April  9, 2019, in a private ceremony.
