Mark Anthony Pryor

Mark Anthony Pryor, a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on August 25, 2024, in his hometown of Indianapolis, where he was born on March 26, 1963. 

With a welcoming spirit, Mark had a unique ability to draw people in. He was not only a dedicated sports fan but also a devoted family man. His love for the Chicago Cubs, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, and IU basketball and football was rivaled only by his passion for the Indy 500, where he celebrated with friends and family alike.

Mark's devotion to his two children, Kirsten Strausburg (Matthew) and Evan Pryor, was evident in everything he did. He cherished every moment spent with them, taking great pride in their accomplishments, and supporting them in all their endeavors. As a proud grandfather, Mark cherished his two grandchildren, Chloe and James Strausburg, showering them with love and affection.

In addition to his human family, Mark shared his life with two beloved canine companions, Fauci and Elsie, who brought even more joy to his heart.

In addition to his children and grandchildren, Mark is survived by his siblings, Teresa Brown (Robert) and David Pryor (Angel). He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Patricia Pryor.

Mark's legacy of love will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. His family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life during a visitation on August 31, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, all held at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park North, located at 2706 Kessler Boulevard West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46228.
