Mark Dennis Myers

Mark Dennis Myers, 74, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away on December 6, from a heart attack. Mark was born on July 10, 1949 to Jack and Elvera Myers in Evansville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Timothy and Steve and has 3 surviving siblings, Nancy, Richard and Matt. He was married 3 times, first time was a Charm, followed by Melissa and Susie, and had two sons, Ben and Alex, who found two beautiful wives, Tabitha and Rachel. Mark has 7 grandchildren, Perrin, Cole, Jolee, Kylee, Asher, Andee, and Baden. He loved them all with all his heart! Mark retired from teaching over 30 years at Decatur Central High School where he was the head of the English department and taught English and science and ethics. Mark loved music, played guitar, loved books, art, good food, beautiful places and people and was so kind to everyone. He truly was a gift to this planet and will be dearly missed by so many people! Celebration of life to be held at the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, 543 Indiana Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 12-2. All are welcome!
