Mark Stephen Ghent, affectionately known as “Stevie” or “Night Owl 1910” passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2025, at 66 years of age. He was born on February 15, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Melvin Bradie and Shirley Ann Ghent. Stevie was a career Truck Driver for numerous trucking companies. He served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed taking a walk, being quite a jokester, and enjoyed 420. The family said just some of his catch phrases were, “Your shoes are untied”, even if you were wearing sandals, or shoes that did not tie, or, “Don’t take any wooden nickels.” He always felt and was determined to win big on the daily Pick 3 or Pick 4 daily ticket from the lottery. He was loved and certainly will be missed by many. Stevie is survived by his children, Steven Ghent, Emily Fahrbach, Jessica Daugherty, Kaleb Simpson, Levi Ghent Simpson, and his grandchildren, Kairi, Marius, Mira, Merida, Ariel, Adam. The family invites you to attend the Funeral Service which will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, 12:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with visitation immediately following for family and friends there from 1:00pm-6:00pm.
