Marjorie Mary Catherine (Peters) Wanamaker, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully Monday, April 10, 2017. She was born May 14, 1945, in Greensburg, to the late Clement and Alfreda (Bedel) Peters.
She was married to her loving husband of 32 years, George Wanamaker.
Margie graduated from Indiana University, where she obtained her master’s degree. She was also a member of the American Dental Assistants Association for many years.
Margie highly valued her family and friends. Her sunny personality was a joy to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by the many lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband, George Wanamaker; brothers, Marvin (Anita) Peters, Greencastle, Dennis Peters, Frankfort, Eugene (Susan) Peters, Greensburg; sisters, Diana (John) Crosby, Blue Ridge, Georgia, Cynthia (Karl) Keillor, Naperville, Illinois, Kathleen (Tim) Lecher, Greensburg; uncle, Ferdinand "John" (Marjorie) Bedel; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clement Peters, Jr; sister, Marietta Peters; sister-in-law, Lucinda Peters; and aunts and uncles, Hilda Peters, Rosemary, Cecelia, Eustella, Adelheide, Antoinette, Edmund, Alvin, Sylvester, Alberta, Coletta, and Dolores.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 17 at Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, April 18 at St. Louis De Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Rd, Fishers, IN 46038.
