Marjorie Louise (Brosnan) Rieser

(1934 – 2016)
81, of Avon, passed away in her sleep May 13, 2016. A combination of French, Irish and German ancestry, Marge was born August 30, 1934 in Indianapolis. She was the fifth of seven children born to Joseph and Margaret Rose (Wagner) Brosnan. Marge married her husband, John, on November 21, 1959. She was a licensed insurance agent working with John for over 30 years and continued working after his death in 2007 until she retired in 2011. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother serving the needs of those around her before her own. Marge was a member of Chapel Rock Christian Church, Bible Study Fellowship, and enjoyed serving home communion for those who were unable to attend church.
Marge was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Abel Rieser, and her sisters Mary Jane Owens and Sister Janet Brosnan OSF. She is survived by her children John (Julie) Rieser, Mickey (Derek) Cohea, Jeff (Rebekah) Rieser, and Jason (Renée) Rieser; sisters Joanne Hutchinson and Donna Monahan, brothers Dan Brosnan and Joe (Becky) Brosnan, 13 grandchildren, and 2 (almost 3) great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday May 19th at 1pm, with visitation preceding the service from 10am-1pm at Chapel Rock Christian Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
