Marilyn Otto Oestrike

Marilyn Otto Oestrike 62, died August 30, 2004. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1959. She did her undergraduate work at Butler University in 1963 and also received her Masters of Reading and Learning disabilities. Mrs. Oestrike was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She taught at Indianapolis Public Schools #1 till 1968. After retirement she was a substitute teacher. She was also an accomplished Equestrian. She was the daughter of James H. Otto noted textbook author.

Mrs. Oestrike is survived by her mother Eloise Byrkit Otto, son James W. Oestrike, daughter and son-in-law Sue Ann Oestrike and Joseph R. Sandifer, her grandchildren Maggie and Morgan Oestrike, Andrew J., William P., Meghan R., and Madeline I. Sandifer.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at Little Flower Catholic Church on Friday, September 3, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. Friends may call at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center – Broad Ripple on Thursday, September 2, 2004 From 4 to 8 p.m. Entombment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
